401 - Required SNTS Permissions
This article discusses how to configure user and group permissions within a State Nutrition Technology System (SNTS) to allow for Meal Counter's Initialization and Claims integration functions. These permissions need to be set before staff and sponsors can use the integrated functionality and, as such, Meal Counter as a whole. Please also note, these settings will need to be in both UAT and Production environments for usage.
-
Navigate to the Security landing page in your state agency's SNTS.
-
Choose either
-
Group Manager' for setting permissions by groups.
-
For a group, start by selecting a group
-
Then choose 'Group's Security Rights'
-
-
Or ‘User Manager' for setting individual user permissions.
-
The individual by searching for them
-
Select User’s Security Rights
-
-
-
Once you have the group or user selected, you will want to add these two MC Permissions (if you search or find (Ctrl/CMD+F) on the list of permissions for “counter” you’ll find them right away):
-
Meal Counter Initialization
-
This grants the selected user or group of users the ability to set up Meal Counter via the SFSP Application ‘Meal Counter Initialization’ function.
-
-
Upload Meal Counter Site Claim
-
This grants the selected user or group of users the ability to import claim data from Meal Counter via API in SFSP claims.
-
-
Recommendations for which users to designate access:
1. Have all SA users, who are involved with administering SFSP or Meal Counter usage specifically to get both of these permissions.
2. Have any Sponsors that are authorized to use meal counter for SFSP counting to also receive both of these permissions.
